CLIENT SECURITY

 

In 2004 new Government legislation was introduced to make it more difficult for criminals to make money and keep money from their crimes. As a result we are required by law to make certain checks regarding the identity of our new and, in some cases, existing clients.

 

How this affects you

These new identification checks are not designed to be onerous or mean that you are under suspicion. The next time you instruct us you may be asked to show us some personal documentation that will prove to us who you say you are. Suitable documents include:

 

Individuals

 

q       A current signed full passport   or

q       A full UK/EC driving licence   or

q       HM Forces ID card

and

q       A gas, electric, council tax or water bill (less than 3 months old)   or

q       A bank, building society or credit card statement (less than 3 months old)

 

UK Company

 

q       Certificate of Incorporation   or

q       Copy of latest accounts/ Annual return (for established companies)

and

q       A gas, electric, business rates or water bill (less than 3 months old)  or

q       A Bank statement (less than 3 months old)
